Promotion

CLeStuM is committed to promote lesson study in Malta. Towards this end, we organise meetings with school leadership teams, teachers, policy makers and university colleagues. As a result of these meetings, up to 2019, ten Maltese schools (from both the state and non-state sectors) implemented lesson study. In three of these schools, lesson study has been going on for the past two years.

Webinar Title:

Lesson study: A collaborative model for professional learning

 

This webinar focused on lesson study as one model of professional learning. Participants were presented with lesson study as a process for professional learning and then shown how the lesson study cycle engages educators in a collaborative inquiry involving planning, teaching and evaluating a research lesson.

Celebration Event for Educators in Malta

Seminar

Session Title:

Promoting Teacher Professional Learning

 

Introducing lesson study and mentoring carried out in schools as continuing professional development models for in-service teachers. This half-day seminar included workshops for teachers, heads of department, senior leadership members, academic members from the Faculty of Education, and education officers and directors from the Ministry for Education and Employment.
